![]() Anyone who has a great imagination, loves adventure, suspense, and edge-of-your-seat fun, awesome book! I love the book and encourage anyone eligible to read it. A lot of things were left open, so I want Cornelia to write another, but as it says, Inkdeath is the final book. I love the series, and was SOO sad when I finished Inkdeath because it's the end of everything. There is too much to remember for a long amount of time. ![]() Cornelia Funke Fantasy 2008 Save Rate book Parents say age 12+ Based on 2 reviews Kids say age 11+ Based on 20 reviews Read or buy Common Sense is a nonprofit organization. I made the mistake of waiting until the next year to finish the series, and had to reread the first two books. Inkdeath: Inkheart Trilogy, Book 3 Book review by Matt Berman, Common Sense Media Common Sense says age 11+ Trilogy conclusion satisfies not as dark as previous book. A lot of characters to remember, and places, and names. This is the story of young Meggie, who lives a quiet life alone with her father Mo, a bookbinder, until one cruel night when Mo reads aloud from Inkheart, and an evil ruler named Capricorn escapes the boundaries of fiction and lands in their living room. In general, there are people in the world who, by reading aloud, can bring people and items out of the book they are reading and into the 'real world.' As an unfortunate side-effect, people and items from the 'real world' can also be transported into the book. I'll admit, if you haven't read Inkheart or Inkspell, this will make no sense what-so-ever to anyone. Inkdeath: 2.5 stars The series starts out in a fascinating way. ![]() It keeps you waiting until the next time you open it. It has such suspenseful qualities to it that you just want to skip to the end, but know it will ruin it. If you like Cornelia Funke, you'll love this book. ![]()
